sp3 specializes in standard and custom grooving tools tipped with
DIAbide, PCD and TFd. We manufacture most standard Top-Notch, Blade style thin
and NHR style groovers, as well as a wide range of custom piston grooving tools
with very tight tolerances in widths from .015" to .25" and larger. We provide
square end, corner radius, and full radius tools. We also provide parting,
facing, and contouring tools for different applications.
 Manufacturing
piston groovers requires equipment not found at most fabricators, but sp3 has
the grinding and metrology equipment to make corner radii the same, every time.
Our TFd groovers often last 2–3x PCD life.
